Today's games were very much useless in the context of the World Cup.
Zimbabwe were useless and all their talks of redemption have gone in the drain given their pathetic performance with the bat and ball. And so were Bangladesh. The batsmen just didnt know what hit them and before the match could gather real steam, it was all over.
This BD team does not deserve to go to the Quarters and they are very lucky to have beaten Ireland in their 2nd game. Had they played Ireland in India, they would have been royally thumped.
The Bangladesh batsmen just know one form of game -- blind hits. Hit anything. They have no patience, no strategy and no plan. If one plan goes, they dont have capability to fall to Plan B cos there is none.
They rely on crowd support, they rely on slow and low pitches and their army of spinners. But what the hell can they do if batsmen dont stand up and perform.
And to top it all the angry supporters stoned West Indies team bus on the way back to hotel. Poor sportsmanship. They should accept that their team is not good enough to beat any team and the result was very mch worthy given the show they displayed.
Pathetic.
In the end it is going to be a three way fight between West Indies, England and Ireland to occupy the last 2 spots from group B. From Group A, the QFs are decided, just they need to decide the order.
