A series kicks off in the Emerald Isle on 4th July, the American Independence day :). Pakistan vs Sri Lanka. Supposedly and allegdlelly 2 countries I am bitter on and hate. I dont say that, but few of the readers of the blog feel so. Why ? Cos I dont like the way Pak and SL play Test cricket. Thats it.
I dont like the way few Indians play their cricket. This is pretty human. Every body have their own choices and dislikes. Dont they ? But no, nobody points fingers to them. Its easy to come down here, read the stuff, then in the end brand me as a hater and then walk off. And then spread the word. Result people read me, but they dont drop their comments. Reasons : I lack analysis. Really ?
I have been following cricket now for 23 years. My first memory is of the victory of World Series in Australia in 1985. And till date I have memory of every game itched in my memory India has played. Yeah every ODi, every Test. From the onset of Azharuddin to retirement of Gavaskar to the confused 1987 - 89 until Sachin Tendulkar came on the horizon to the 1990s when the trio of Anil, Dravid and Ganguly burtst on the scene alongside 2000s when Sehwag, Harbhajan and Yuvraj came in to the disgusting days of Sharma and Pathan Y.
Whosoever claims that i lack facts or stats I have a hearty laugh. I openly challenge anybody to have a quiz with me on the facts and the stats and the trivia. I promise i wont need any reference to statsguru or any other cricket encyclopedia.
People call players names. They have fan following. if i call few people names who play cricket, i get hate stuff. Fake One down player to Mr Useless or whatever, thats fine. I should not name anybody. Now if any body in SL finds burning effigies in India a bit crazy, then he voices his opinion freely. If I do it, I am a hater.
Amazing standards to judge a blog. People threaten to sue me. People teach me power of analysis. I would hardly blog on Pakistan vs SL test series. Cos the brand of cricket thats played in Test series in SL doesnt appeal me similarly as way India plays doesnt appeal to few many. And I want to write as freely as I can on this blog. I dont care much about what people brand me or my blog as. I care much about my quality of writing, which is not at all poor, which is not at all cheap.
I would rather suggest the silent, regular and occasional reader to read this content without any prejudice or any malacious intent. I repeat this blog is just about cricket. Politics or racial / religious content has no place here. So if you could enjoy this blog with freedom, you are most welcome, but if you read this and spread wrong word about me, then you are not welcome here. Better find some other place except this.

A quick note: The less number of comments is because of the restrictions you have placed on anonymous comments. Get rid of that and the CAPTCHA and you will get many comments.
I understand you had problems with some commentators, but if you don't like what they are saying, just delete their comments and they will not return back to create nuisance.
On my blog, I sometimes find hate comments. It just takes me 1 second to hit the Delete button and I never have a problem with the same person again.
Ok..take a deep breath now..
Man, for someone whose material is going to be read by a huge variety of people, each with their own unique take on what you say, you have an incredibly low tolerance for criticism. You of all people should be expecting criticism because not everybody will agree with you.
I was not even criticizing you, I was just trying to make you aware of the strong anti-Pakistan bias I felt in your post. I would think that the people who take out time to read your blogs are entitled to do as much, aren't they?
You don't like they way Pakistan play cricket, fair enough. Hell, I think apart for SRT, every Indian cricketer is overrated. We are both entitled to our opinions, right? All I was trying to do was to inform you that as a Pakistani, when I read your posts I am left with a bitter after taste (if that is even a word) in my mouth.
Case in point, your picture of Shoaib Malik. I'm sure India has had several good series against other countries as well, but you didn't show any of their guys getting bowled out. All I'm saying is, give the Pakistani readers of your blog a little love too.
On a lighter note, could you please take pity on us and not make us watch Ganguly's disgusting armpits?
Hey Krishna, thanks for the suggestion. anon users in the past had resorted to some real kick ass abuses, so turned off :)
Oh Hani, to serve my readers, i dont write. i write my views and then readers like it / dislike it.
You are reading a hell lot in my pictures, my words and my blog. i dont even know who the batsman was. i thought it must be Nazir.
but thanks for pointing me the name. I am not everse to criticism man, but that shud be on my blog, not on me as person.
as u say everybody is going to have their own opinions and suggestions, so agree to disagree is going to be there.
ok i take ur suggestion. except miandad and Ijaz Butt, i would tone down my if present anti Pakistani tirade....
guess that shud work isnt it.
