Good going Pakistan. You prove that you are T20 world champs. So what it’s a Test. We would play every game T20 way. Yeah very well, but preserve wickets.
Basic premise of the game, every coaching manual and academy suggests. Alright no coaching and academy works in the bylanes of Pakistan. But the players themselves would know wickets in hand are the most precious wealth for a batting team. Its like Wickets hai to match hai. Bin wickets sab soon.
Pakistan could still win this game, but then question now 4th innings in row where a madness sets in and the collapse happens. Food for thought.

Just curious, but why are you so scathing on Pakistan? I mean, any team can collapse like this. India has done it. So has Australia. To me it means nothing more than the fact that cricket is wonderfully uncertain. I wouldnt read anything more into it.

You forgot an awesome bowling display by Gul, an amazing debut century, actually 150, the 2nd highest score by a Paki on debut, the highest score by a Paki in SL, and what not...
Trust u to only come out attacking Pakistan..

Its certainly less scathing than calling somebody prostitute. I have never called anybody that...

You could not digest the defeat / collapse (time i wrote the batting was on) and there was some personal attack on Damith as wel which he mentioned on BCC!....

did you even condemn Wasim(blogger) calling BCCI a prostitute ? Well BCCI is flawed but calling it what it was called, was it justified?

In this world of free speech whom all are you going to stop my brother? i have nothing against you or anybody else. this is not a personal war. this is just a game and every body has his own choice of teams. Where is the problem in that ? A is going to like India and not like Australia. B would like England and despise India. Fair enough.....
What wrong have i said in my post ? tell me. Didnt Pak team collapse? Younis Khan later said in his post match conf that perhaps his team is nt playing Test cricket.

Thats very convinient of you mate to read what you want to when there is a post which is bit critical abt Pak..and not read / comment which is pro Pak...

And i dont care now what i m being opinionated as. Yeah initially it bothered me, but now it doesnt cos all this is not based on facts and figures. i cannot write what you want to read and neither you can write i want you to write. thats where the individualism comes in....

Sam, I am not talking about this post alone. I have been followng your blog for a long time now. And while some of your posts appear to be a tirade on selected players, they are not totally undeserving. But at times you take on certain players/teams with an attitude that suggests personal animosity more than cricketing reasons.
And I dont know in which blog someone compared the BCCI to a prostitute as you claim. If that was indeed true, it is best to ignore such a post/comment as coming from one who is insane. But dont you think retorting in kind is not a solution?
Lastly, I know this is your blog and as such we dont have a right to question your posts. I know you are passionate about the game. That is evident from your posts. I appreciate you for maintaining this blog over such a long period, because clearly someone like me cannot do it/dont have the discipline to maintain a blog. Hence I choose the easy way of commenting on blogs. Hope that is alright with you.

yeah u r right. i m passonate abtt the game just as like all Indians are.
Its also true that i dont like few players like the Rohits, Dineshs and Badris. Its all for their brand of cricket. nothing personal.
i m fine with any comment on my blog as long as it is not getting personal and it is factual and logical.

Thanks Sam. Offhand, I would say that you jump the gun. The moment Dinesh Karthik fails, you shoot off a post claiming he is fit only for dancing. Never mind the fact that he would have played well just in the previous innings. But even if Dhoni has a prolonged failure, you come out in unconditional support of him. The appreciation that is due for a player is sometimes missing in your posts because you are busy finding fault with the player.
You might have your own thought process as to why you choose to be harsh on certain players, but I feel that on the pitch, dancing or any other entertainment will be the last thing on a player's mind, however bad/good he may be. Not everyone can have the concentration of a Gavaskar. Lesser players do make mistakes. So maybe you can cut a little bit of slack for some players you seem to come down heavily on.

U r wrong in saying that I could not digest the defeat or the collapse, because if I couldn't I would not have written about it.
I write about everything, the good , the bad, the ugly... I don't go on any scathing attacks...
As for Damith and the personal attack, that is part of our debate on BCC!, which you would have understood if u had followed it completely and not seen my attack in isolation.. it was done in good humour and even Damith knows that..
My only point to you is that abt this test u attacked Pakistan both times they collapsed but u failed to mention their comeback, why?
I dont intend to add fuel to ... but I still sniff soemthing fishy about the whole collapse .... er matches being fixed .. 2/294 to 320 is bound to be questionable .
I knwo some may call me crazy but I will take that . after all MFs are not something new and can happen . what say friends ?
